Ingredients
1 Jimmy Dean breakfast sandwich (frozen or refrigerated)
1 tablespoon butter or olive oil (if using stovetop)
Optional add-ons:
1 slice fresh cheddar or provolone cheese
2 slices tomato
1–2 avocado slices
Handful of spinach
Dash of hot sauce or mustard
Instructions
Microwave Method (Quick Option):
Remove sandwich from wrapper and separate the components (bun, egg, sausage, cheese).
Wrap each part in a paper towel.
Microwave egg and sausage at 30% power for 90 seconds, then full power for 30 seconds.
Toast bun separately or microwave for 15 seconds.
Reassemble and heat whole sandwich for 20 seconds. Let rest 1 minute before serving.
Stovetop Method (Best Texture & Taste):
Defrost sandwich in the refrigerator overnight or at room temp for 1–2 hours.
Separate bun, sausage, and egg.
Heat a non-stick skillet over medium heat with a bit of butter or oil.
Toast both bun halves face-down until golden.
Heat sausage and egg on the skillet for 2–3 minutes per side.
Layer sausage, egg, and cheese between toasted buns. Cover with a lid for 30 seconds to melt cheese.
Serve hot, optionally with avocado, tomato, or hot sauce.
Air Fryer Method (For Crisp Lovers):
Preheat air fryer to 350°F (175°C).
Wrap sandwich in foil or separate parts and place on tray.
Cook for 8–10 minutes, flipping halfway through.
Let rest 1–2 minutes before eating.
Notes
For extra freshness, add sliced tomato, avocado, or a fried egg.
Replace the bun with a toasted brioche, sourdough, or croissant for a gourmet feel.
Meal-prepping? Wrap individual sandwiches in parchment paper and freeze. Reheat directly from frozen using the oven or air fryer.
Add spinach or kale inside the sandwich for a nutrient boost.
