Instructions

  1. Toast the Bread:
    Lightly toast the English muffin or bun halves until golden and crisp. Set aside.

  2. Cook the Egg:
    Heat a nonstick skillet over medium heat. Add butter or spray. Crack the egg into the pan and cook to your liking (fried, over-easy, or scrambled). Season with salt and pepper.

  3. Melt the Cheese:
    While the egg is still warm in the pan, place the cheese on top and cover with a lid for 30 seconds to melt slightly.

  4. Assemble the Sandwich:
    On the bottom half of the muffin, place the cooked bacon. Add the egg with cheese on top. Layer tomato and avocado if using, then finish with the top bun.

  5. Serve Immediately:
    Enjoy while hot and fresh! Wrap in parchment paper if taking it to-go.
